Raw Material Preparation
The collected castoreum is naturally dried and prepared for further processing. This stage is crucial to preserve all the beneficial components of the secretion, which impart the valuable properties to the Castoreum tincture (beaver castor oil).
Maceration
The prepared castoreum is macerated in alcohol. This allows the medicinal substances from the secretion to be extracted and turned into a liquid form that is easy to use. The duration of maceration can vary, depending on the desired strength and concentration of the product.
Filtration and Aging
After maceration, the liquid is carefully filtered to remove all impurities, resulting in a clear, clean extract. The filtered extract is often left to age for a certain period to develop the desired aroma and flavor, while also enhancing its medicinal properties.
Filling and Packaging
Finally, the prepared castoreum tincture is poured into dark glass bottles, which ensure that light does not degrade the quality of the product.
