CHAGA PRODUCTS
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) grows as a dark, cracked conk on living birch trees across the northern forest belt. Its black, charcoal-like exterior hides a golden-brown interior, and Baltic, Nordic and Eastern European households have gathered it as a traditional forest tea for generations. At WildAmanita we forage every piece by hand in untouched Latvian birch woodland, and then we clean and dry it carefully, so the material reaches you in its natural form. Because chaga grows slowly, often over many years, we harvest it with restraint: we take only mature conks, we always leave part of the fungus intact so it can continue growing, and we never damage the host birch.
Our chaga range covers five formats:
- Chunks — cleaned, pure wild chaga broken into pieces, which remains the traditional format for slow decoctions.
- Powder — finely milled wild chaga, 100 g; since it offers far more surface area, it infuses faster than chunks and blends easily.
- Capsules — 0.4 g per capsule, 100 per pack, so every unit stays uniform and simple to store.
- Extracts and coffee — a double-extraction tincture, 50 ml made from Latvian chaga, alongside our Chaga & Lion’s Mane 1:13 extract coffee.
- Gift set — a curated chaga selection, ready to give.
In addition, we offer an Amanita and chaga powder blend, 200 g, which combines the two species in a single milled product. This blend is sold for research, educational and collection purposes only. Not for human consumption.
