Tinctures and ferments present forest material in liquid form, and this category brings together three distinct preparation methods. Fermentation works slowly and traditionally: we let the mushroom material mature over an extended period before we bottle it. Double extraction, on the other hand, combines a water phase and an alcohol phase, which remains the classic approach for hard, woody species such as chaga and reishi. Glycerine preparations use vegetable glycerine instead of alcohol, so they suit collectors who prefer an alcohol-free base.

We prepare every batch ourselves from material we forage by hand in Baltic forests. Furthermore, we bottle each preparation in dark glass, since light degrades liquid preparations faster than almost anything else.

Storage and shipping

Keep every bottle upright in a cool, dark place with the cap firmly closed. Because we use dark glass throughout, the preparations hold their condition well under those conditions. We ship worldwide in sealed, protective packaging. Before ordering, please check the legal status of these species in your own country, since regulations differ from one market to another.
